The IOTA contest 2011 is over.

So the IOTA contest 2011 is over. Finally I managed to make 340 QSO counting 2700 points. I worked 63 multipliers. The claimed score is 170100 points.

IOTA contest preparation

During the last days I tested equipment and software (UCXLOG) for the contest and so far all seems to be ready for the "battle".

So lets hope on good propagation and a lot of QSOs and multis.

OZ7VEA started activation on EU-030

So the first QSOs are in the log. The very first contact was made with OM2AD at 11:00z on July, 24 2011.

Picture of the setup will be uploaded later today.

We arrived on EU-030

So now we are on the right place. The weather is terrible with rain all the day long.
Nevertheless station setup started and the antennas will be raised up tomorrow morning.
The first view on the setup is shown on the picture. The local conditions are not perfect. But we are ready to find a solution for every problem. HIHI.

Preparation is ongoing

Currently working to finalize the CAT control.

UCXLOG will be the choice for the IOTA contest

I'll participate in the IOTA contest 30.07./31.07. The plan is to use SSB only and work for 12 hours.

During the last days I evaluated which tool to use for logging and finally come up to ucxlog of DL7UCX - Lightwight and set up quickly.
